Lingwood Lodge, Lake District Accommodation - Stunning views of the Lake District
View from first floor rooms in winter

Will my room have a lake view?

Nearly - but not quite. Although the lake is comparatively close, there is only the merest glimpse of it from the first floor bedrooms, through mature trees but then only in winter when there are no leaves!
Estate agents will understand the dilemma here. Nevertheless, there is a very attractive view from Lingwood Lodge's elevated position across its own landscaped garden to the wooded slopes of Claife Heights on the other side of the lake.

Is there car parking?

There is room for 6 cars which may be freely left for the whole of your stay as required. A pleasant 400 metre walk takes you to the lake, shops, restaurants and attractions of Bowness.

Lingwood Lodge, Lake District Accommodation - A pleasent stroll through Bowness
Ash Street, Bowness

What is Bowness like?

It is the major tourist village of the Lake District and as such is busy for most of the year.
The area of the steamer piers has a 'by the seaside' feel to it on a sunny day with boats for hire, ice cream kiosks and wandering ducks eager to be fed.

The local shops offer interest and variety and a special opportunity for holiday retail therapy. Bowness is highly recommended if you enjoy wandering and people watching amid a lively holiday atmosphere.
